Of course, there are also possibilities for tobogganing and snow-tubing in this ski area. The entire family will feel entertained and can enjoy diverse activities in the snow - and all of this in front of the beautiful backdrop of the Ore Mountains! Further lifts and slopes in the area can be found in Rehfeld-Zaunhaus, Schellerhau and Oberbärenburg.
Night skiing Altenberg
In the ski area Altenberg in the Ore Mountains, night owls and winter sports fans that are still fit in the evening can look forward to a special highlight: the Raupennesthang in Altenberg is available for night skiing. The Altenberg tow lift takes night skiers up the illuminated piste and it is open every day (excl. Sunday) until 22:00. Like this, young and old can use the approx. 800 m main piste until late in the evening. Night skiing can be enjoyed by skiers of all levels - the slope is easily comprehensible and can be used by everybody. Make sure you still have enough energy left from the day so that you can fully enjoy skiing in the evening.Après ski Altenberg
A more exciting leisure time activity is a visit to the impressive mining museum - a tour you should not miss out on. Discover interesting facts about ore mining and processing, which was still active until 1991.
Sports fans will enjoy a visit to the local bob course, which is known way over the boundaries of the country. In the original 4-person bob you can reach speeds up to 100 km/h in the ice canal - pure adrenaline! A ride in an ice-tube is also an exciting experience and not much slower. The course is 1,413 m long, has 18 curves and is the venue for winter pro competitions in bob, toboggan and skeleton discipline in winter.
City trip fans and culturally interested can look forward to a visit to Dresden, which is only approx. 50 km north of the resort and offers a huge selection of possibilities. Relaxation, on the other hand, can be found in the health centre Raupennest. Sauna and pool complex, including e.g. jacuzzi, outdoor pool and air massage pool, as well as a baby's paddling pool provide for a great time to unwind and let go of everyday stress.
