Ski holidays Misurina - "Pearl of the Dolomites"

Misurina

The cosy village Misurina is situated in the Eastern Dolomites nearby the world-famous winter sports resort Cortina d'Ampezzo. Misurina is located on an altitude of 1,761 m and has been known to be a climatic health resort for centuries. In lake Misurina you can see the reflection of the South-Western slope of the Tre Cime, Cadini mountain group, as well as Sorapis and Monte Cristallo mountains. This scenery is a breathtaking panorama amidst the UNESCO World Heritage - natural site landscape. Surrounding the lake are trails for snow shoe hikers as well as cross-country ski trails. Misurina is also worth a visit because of the regional typical architecture.

The small ski carousel of Misurina and Auronzo is a quiet spot even during main season, as the more famous ski Cortina d'Ampezzo ski area is right nearby. The lift pass upgrade to "Dolomiti Superski" gives you access to both and other ski areas which are suitable for beginners and experienced skiers alike. A high reliability for snow is guarateed throughout the whole winter.

Cadore

Cadore is a region with a varied landscape in the Bellunesi Dolomites that turns into a glittering white winter-wonderland during the cold season. The landscape is characterised by the jagged summits of the surrounding mountain rages of the Dolomites, which change from steep rock faces to densely wooded foothills.

The majestic Monte Antelao (3,264 m) oversees the region. At the foot of the second highest Dolomite summit after Marmolada, you can find several villages that are - characterised by an old history - conscious in tradition. The buildings, designed partly in Grand Architecture, impress with their Venetian style and have a majestic charm. The river Boite runs by the side valley. In the north-west it reaches a spacious, flat area which is home to the famous winter sports resort Cortine d'Ampezzo and attracts many winter sport fans.
