Ski holidays Winterberg - Skiing Fun in the middle of Germany!

Winterberg

The internationally-known winter sport location Winterberg is at an altitude of about 660 m in the Northwest of the Rothaargebirge mountain range. The lively town in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is perfectly situated as the starting point for a short trip into winter sport delight! Here in Winterberg, a diverse and entertaining holiday awaits you against natural, romantic scenery. The numerous toboggan runs provide fun for the whole family, and a number of them can be enjoyed well into the evening thanks to flood lighting. The location also allows for the opportunity to take part torch-light hikes and snow-shoeing--or how about a sleigh ride through the fairytale winter landscape? With its endless hiking trails and the impressive mountain landscape, Winterberg offers something for everyone.

Sauerland

Sauerland, in the south-east of North Rhine-Westphalia, is surrounded by the Lower Hesse mountain country, the edge of the Ostsauerländischen Gebirgsland, Wittgensteiner Land, Siegerland, and the Bergischen Land. As part of the Rhenish Slate Mountains, it's dominated by birch and spruce forests. Also known as the land of a thousand mountains, among Sauerland's highest mountains are Langenberg, Hegekopf, and the Kahle Asten, which contribute quite a bit to the region's winter sports. You may also take advantage of some of the countless cross-county trails and discover the breathtaking landscapes of these uplands. For those who prefer something a little more relaxed, a romantic sleigh ride through the snowy scenery is highly recommended. Floodlit facilities and toboggan runs for snow-tubes provide that extra bit of fun for the whole family.
